Anthony D'Aniello, senior international attorney

Anthony D’Aniello formerly counsel of Global Legal Group (Turks & Caicos), an international law firm with associates in ten countries, specialising in wealth and asset protection. He has held several senior executive positions with both on shore and offshore banks and trust companies most notably with HSBC in Canada. Anthony was part of the Tax, Trust and Corporate Commercial practice group for the offshore law firm of Bishops to which he was of Counsel since 1994 until he joined Karam & Missick in 2015.

 

With more than 21 years of progressive responsibility, experience and tested expertise, Anthony is no stranger to all aspects of investment banking, asset management, fund raising, complex commercial structuring/transactions, loan syndications, private equity and hedge funds, international taxation, trust and intellectual property law. He has a proven track record in setting up and building trust companies and financial institutions from inception taking them through the planning, regulatory, implementation, and operational stages. Anthony has had extensive dealings with various governmental and regulatory bodies in several on shore and

 

Anthony has managed teams of professionals delivering a full range of asset management, personal trust and advisory services to high net worth individuals and corporations. He has focused on advising and representing high net worth international private clients and international businesses in the area of trust, tax and estate planning.

 

His key interest has always been in developing and maintaining client relationships with the view to providing added value and service for the customer. Anthony has written several articles and has been published in two separate Trust and Trustees-World Survey Issues and in IFC Review.

 

He has sat on several think tank committees and has reviewed and edited statutes and regulations for several offshore jurisdictions. He has been a guest speaker at several international trust and estate planning conferences in Canada, the USA, the Turks and Caicos Islands, Cayman, Panama, Mexico, Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia, Switzerland and Dubai.

Anthony received a Juris Doctor in Laws from University of Detroit, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor, a Masters in Business Administration from Lake Superior State University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (with a Double Major in Political Science and Modern Languages) from McGill University. He is admitted to practice as a barrister and solicitor in Ontario, Canada (Member of the Law Society of Upper Canada) and Turks and Caicos Islands. He has also held the designation (T.E.P.) from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners since 1998.–
